Bank Officer

For a position in bank the candidate need to qualify degree with 55%

1. For PO age should be between 20 to 30
    For Clerical age should be between 20 to 28

(I) Age: ( As on the date specified in the notification )

( A) public sector banks :

PO --- 20 to 30 years
Office --- 20 to 28 years

( B ) Regional Rural Banks :

For Officer Scale- III ------ below 40 years
For Officer Scale- II -------- above 21 years and below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I --------- 18 years and below 28 years
For Office Assistant -------- Between 18 and 28 years

( C) SBI and SBI Associate Banks :

PO --- 21 to 30 years
Office --- 18 to 28 years
Note - Relaxation of age according to the rules for candidates reserved.

(Ii) the minimum education qualifications : ( As on the date specified in the notification )

( A) public sector banks :

PO --- A degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Bureau --- A degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

( B ) Regional Rural Banks :

Office Assistant (Clerk ) - Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent

Officer Scale- I --- Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent

Officer Scale -II ( GBO ) --- Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 % aggregate university. --- Two years experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

Officer Scale -II ( special agents)

( I) Chartered Accountant - Chartered Associateship (CA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Experience - One year

( Ii ) Marketing Officer - Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized university . Experience - One year

( Iii ) Treasury Manager- Certified Associateship (CA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or post -graduate degree in Finance from the University / institution recognized degree. Experience - One year

( Iv ) Agricultural Officer - Diploma in Agriculture / Horticulture / Dairy Science / farming / forestry / specializations Science / Agriculture / Engineering / Fish farming or veterinary allies or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in their entirety . Experience - Two years

Officer Scale- III --- Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 % aggregate university. --- 5 years experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

( C) SBI and SBI Associate Banks :

PO --- A degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Office --- 12th minimum standard (10 +2) or equivalent qualification thereof with a minimum of 60% marks

OR

Diploma Course passed after 10th standard with a minimum of 60% marks

OR

A degree ( diploma level ) from a recognized university with minimum 40% marks Note university - Relaxation of age according to the rules for candidates reserved.

(III) Computer Literacy :

Some banks insist that the candidate must have working knowledge of computers before joining the bank and some banks mention that the desired computer skills can be acquired within six months of joining the bank.

If a candidate has not studied computer science as one of the subjects in school / college , the candidate must possess a valid degree (basic ) in computers.

(IV ) Language Skills:

( A) public sector banks :

---- Since recruitment office clerical staff would be based on a State - wise , the applicant may also be required to possess proficiency in the official language of the State / UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply .

( B ) Regional Rural Banks :

For office assistants (secretaries ) and Scale- I Officers ---- Candidates are required to possess proficiency in the official language of the State / UT in which GRC is and must have passed " local language " as the one of the topics at the registration / standard Xe

( c) SBI and SBI Associate Banks

---- Since recruitment office clerical staff would be based on a State - wise , the applicant may also be required to possess proficiency in the official language of the State / UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply
